ROCK HILL, S.C. – Six children are in protective custody after they were discovered living in filth, hungry, unbathed and hidden from society in a Rock Hill, South Carolina home.
York County deputies got an anonymous call Sunday suggesting they check out the home. Once inside, they discovered the children, ages 8 months to 8 years, living in horrific conditions.
"To hear that those babies were living in those conditions, it just breaks my heart," shocked neighbor John Crawford said.
Deputies discovered the children covered in lice, urine and dirt.
The police report states there was no running water or air conditioning, bottles of human waste and garbage scattered across the home, a mini-fridge with only a few sandwich items inside, and only a gallon and a half of water in the whole home.
