Thieves steal trailers, equipment from Dayton ISD property

DAYTON, Texas – Thieves stole three trailers and equipment from Dayton ISD property, according to police.

Investigators said the theft happened sometime between September 9 and September 12.

One of the stolen trailers was red and held a power washer with a Honda generator and a large, white plastic water tank, police said. A second black trailer carried a Miller Bobcat welding machine. The third trailer carried two red Toro lawn mowers.

Police said all of the property was secured behind a locked gate at the DISD Transportation and Maintenance facility behind the football stadium on South Cleveland Street.

The Dayton Police Department is asking anyone that may have seen suspicious activity on school property to report it to police.
