Gunman opens fire at prom, wounds two

ANTIGO, Wis. – Students and community members in Antigo, Wisconsin are still trying to grasp how and why a school shooting could have happened there this weekend.

At about 11 p.m. Saturday night, students were dancing at prom, and then they saw police lights.

"I was just thinking someone had a seizure or someone passed out," said Antigo High School junior Drew Schwartz. "I wasn't thinking it was anything serious."

Two people were shot, one an Antigo High School student, the other victim his date, who was from out of state. She was released from the hospital earlier in the day.

The shooter died at the hospital. Police identified him 18-year-old Jakob E. Wagner, who graduated from Antigo High school last year.
