Good news, great burgers: Hundreds show up for 'Sad Papaw' cookout

An Oklahoma granddad stood up by his own grandchildren hosted a cookout for hundreds of new friends who heard about him on Twitter.

People across the world were touched after seeing a photo of Kenneth Harmon, Papaw, who was sad after being stood up by his grandchildren.

Harmon made homemade hamburgers for his six grandchildren, but only one of them showed up for dinner.

The lone grandchild posted the picture of Harmon on social media, calling out the other grandchildren, and the photo went viral.

The community came out in a big way on Saturday to honor the grandfather, and joined together for a cookout, with good old fashioned hamburgers made by Harmon.

Attendees were also able to purchase t-shirts that read "I had a burger with Papaw."
