HOUSTON – NCAA and Turner Live Events announced Thursday Grammy-winning group Maroon 5 will headline this year’s Capital One JamFest on April 3.

The free three-day music festival will take place at Discovery Green in downtown Houston. The festival is open to the public on a first-come basis.

For the first time, the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards will simulcast a live performance from the stage. The performance by Maroon 5 will be featured during the iHeartRadio Music Awards, airing live from the Forum in Los Angeles on Turner networks.

"This year’s Capital One JamFest will be an unbelievable experience," said said Roger Ferguson, managing vice president for brand advertising media and sponsorships at Capital One. "We’re thrilled to bring what we know will be an incredible Maroon 5 performance to fans in Houston, as well as those tuning in to the iHeartRadio Music Awards. We are also excited to offer some exclusive benefits to our cardholders throughout Final Four weekend, including two free tickets and an exclusive VIP entry line to the NCAA Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One and a preferred entry line at Capital One JamFest."

The awards show will be simulcast on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio digital music platform.

"Music fans watching the iHeartRadio Music Awards on the Turner networks will be able to experience the biggest names in live music from both Los Angeles, California and Houston, Texas in the same evening," said John Sykes, president of entertainment enterprises at iHeartMedia.
