Man wanted in armed robbery of cell phone store in Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, Texas – A man is wanted for an armed robbery at a cell phone store in the Sugar Land area.

A man knocked on the front door of the T-Mobile store at 19917 Southwest Freeway around 8 p.m. Jan. 17 after two employees had closed the business and locked the door at 6 p.m. One of the employees opened the door and the armed man forced his way inside.

The man told the employees to remain in a bathroom at the back of the store. He escaped with cash from the store.

Surveillance video captured the man inside the store. The gunman is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male in his 30s, with a beard, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing dark clothing and a baseball hat.
