Traffic stop leads to discovery of bundles of pot stuffed in trunk of car
DPS trooper finds 20 bundles of marijuana stuffed in driver's trunk.
HIDALGO COUNTY, Texas – A huge drug bust was made on a Texas roadway Tuesday morning.
A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper pulled over a driver for a traffic violation on U.S. Highway 83 in Hidalgo County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the trooper searched the car and found 20 bundles of marijuana stuffed into the trunk. The drugs were worth approximately more than $2 million.
The driver, Eliza Gomez-Garcia, 38, of Rio Grande City, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. She was transported to Hidalgo County Jail.
