Girl kidnapped while chasing chicken in Montgomery County
Police searching for man who pulled girl into car
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who reportedly abducted a girl in the 16000 block of Holly Lane South Tuesday evening.
Police say 11-year-old Angelly Oviedo was chasing her pet chicken down the street at around 6:40 when a man in a dark four-door passenger car opened his door and offered her a ride. When the girl refused, the man reportedly grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into the car.
He drove to an open field surrounded by trees and stopped the car, police say. The girl got out of the car and fled on foot. She was found hiding in shrubs by an off-duty peace officer.
Authorities were unable to find the man or his car. They are searching for a 30 to 50-year-old white man with blond hair, brown eyes and a beard. He was described as wearing an orange striped polo shirt and blue jeans. The girl said the man had a "skull" tattoo on his left arm.
Police are continuing to investigate this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 281-297-6510 or Montgomery County Crime Stoppers.
