13 arrested in prostitution sting in Texas City

TEXAS CITY, Texas – Thirteen people were arrested in an undercover prostitution sting Thursday and Friday in Texas City, according to the Texas City Police Department.

Texas City police said they the operation was assisted by the U.S. Marshal's Service, the Chambers County Sheriff's Office and the League City Police Department.

Investigators said the sting was targeted at street-level prostitution. Two women and 11 men were arrested.

Jesus Alcaraz is charged with prostitution, fleeing police and resisting arrest. He is being held in lieu of a $3,000 bond.

Connie Angell is charged with prostitution with three previous convictions. She is being held in lieu of a  $60,000 bond.

Jesus Briones is charged with prostitution and is being held on a $1,000 bond.

Kelly Carpenter is charged with prostitution and is being held on a $1,000 bond.

Ernest Clay is charged with prostitution and is being held on a $1,000 bond.

Stephen Gibson is charged with prostitution and is being held on a $1,000 bond.

Randy Ministerio is charged with prostitution and is being held on a $1,000 bond.

Efrin Perez Reyes is charged with prostitution and is being held on a $1,000 bond.

Pedro Reyes is charged with prostitution and is being held on a $1,000 bond.

David Thomas is charged with prostitution and is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

Renetta Tryals is charged with prostitution and is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

William Vasquez is charged with prostitution and is being held on a $1,000 bond.

Billy Wooldridge is charged with prostitution and is being held on a $1,000 bond.
