HFD: Woman killed in fire at condominium complex

HOUSTON – A woman died after a two-alarm fire at a condominium Saturday.

The Houston Fire Department said the Hearthwood II Condos at 2834 S. Bartell Drive caught fire at 11:38 a.m.

Authorities said a woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Officials said the building suffered significant fire damage and the cause will be investigated by HFD's arson bureau.
