Driver dies after hitting curb; car flips into tree No description found
HOUSTON – A driver died late Sunday after hitting a curb and flipping his car into a tree.
According to Houston police, the man was behind the wheel of a gray Honda Civic around 11 p.m., driving at a high rate of speed on East Orem Drive.
When the driver got close to the intersection of Foxton Road, he lost control, hitting the curb on the side of the road. The impact flipped the car into a tree.
First responders had to extricate the man from his vehicle. He died at the scene.
Accident investigators reported finding several bottles of alcohol inside the man's vehicle. Police believe that the driver was likely speeding before the crash.
The victim's identity hasn't been released. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
