HOUSTON – Pest control is a big problem this week at several restaurants.
At El Pacifico Restaurant at 5800 Bellaire Boulevard, health inspectors found a cockroach in the food prep area. Workers were told to keep food off the floors.
At 5440 Larkin, there were bad marks for Taqueria and Panderia La India. A live cockroach was also found in the kitchen.
Don Pico's Mexican Restaurant at 2110 Bay Area Boulevard is also dealing with pests. Three cockroaches were found near the door and shelves.
The manager said the restaurant was exterminated less than a month ago, and he'll be doing it again soon.
The ice machine at Texas Land and Cattle Co. at 11900 Dickinson showed signs of mold, mildew and algae.
Health inspectors ordered the restaurant to remove all the ice and thoroughly clean the ice machine before resuming ice production.
Boudreaux's Cajun Kitchen at 5475 West Loop was dealing with slime in its soda machine this week.
All gold stars for Premier Cinemas at 12300 North Freeway and Whataburger #591 at 181 North Sam Houston Parkway East. Both had spotless inspections this week.
