Schlumberger could move headquarters to Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, Texas – There is a possible big move in the works for the national headquarters of Schlumberger.

The company wants to move from its current site on San Felipe Street in the Galleria area to Sugar Land.

The new location would be on the northeast intersection of US-90 and Gillingham Lane, where Schlumberger already has a campus.

Schlumberger said the move is part of its consolidation strategy.

The Sugar Land City Council will vote on the plan Tuesday. If approved, the headquarters site would be scheduled for completion by late 2017.
