According to METRO police, McNeal and another man got into an argument while riding on a METRO train on Sept. 4.  Both men got off at the Wheeler Rail Station, and McNeal walked to a home across the street.

McNeal then came back outside, armed with a machete, and told the victim, "You wanna threaten me, I will kill you," documents state.

The victim took off running, saying he was in fear for his life, with McNeal chasing behind him.

McNeal told investigators that the machete was not real, but investigators confronted him with surveillance video that captured the chase and charges were filed.

Records show that McNeal has a prior conviction in 1985 for burglary with intent to commit theft, and another in 2010 for felon in possession of a fire arm.
