Teacher to student: 'Stop writing your name in cursive. You have had several warnings.'

A photo shared on Facebook of what appears to be a school assignment with the written comment, "Stop writing your name in cursive. You have had several warnings," is making its rounds on the Internet.

Recently, Brenda Hatcher, shared a photo of her friend's 7-year-old daughter's school work. The teacher wrote a comment in red pen telling the student to stop writing in cursive.

The post reads:

"Share this everywhere...Alyssa is 7!!! Not only is her mother a military veteran but, she took the time to teach her very young child how to write in cursive...This is her teacher's response...What is wrong with today's school system/society??? #cursive"

It has been shared over 420,000 times since it was posted on Sept. 16.

"Absolutely ridiculous!! All of my children will definitely be fluent in cursive, " Noelle Hurst commented.

"Best of luck to any teacher who writes this on my children's papers. All of mine will know how to write cursive," Amanda Hutchinson wrote.
