Deputy Goforth's widow shares story of tattoo tribute

HOUSTON – The wife of Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth's is speaking publicly for the first time since his tragic killing. She spoke out through a tribute video after getting a tattoo in his honor.

Prison Break Tattoos released a video in which Kathleen Goforth speaks about why she got the ink on her left arm. She was first seen with it at her husband's funeral.

She said she got the tattoo to honor all the men and women in uniform.

"And be the change is the first part of the Ghandi quote, 'Be the change you want to see in the world.' And what I want to see in the world is the men and women in uniform revered and honored. And 1984 is Darren's badge number. That was yours baby," Kathleen said in the video.

Deputy Goforth was shot and killed while getting gas last month. His accused killer is behind bars, charged with capital murder.
