HOUSTON – A local retired US Marine is getting a lot of attention on the Internet for the fun choreographed performance with his daughter at her quinceanera in June.

Leonardo Cortinas started practicing the routine after his daughter asked him to do the surprise hip-hop dance.  The video shows Jasmine and Leonardo get down on the dance floor to songs like "Can't Touch This," "Tootsie Roll" and "Gangnam Style."

Jasmine planned out the moves herself and she and her dad practiced for three weeks.

"I wanted to do the surprise father-daughter dance because I didn't want to be like all of the other quinceaneras," Jasmine told Today Parents. "I wanted people to remember my 15th birthday and not just think of it as another party where they got free food or entertainment. I wanted it to be memorable for everyone - not just me."

Leonardo said this was a fun way to show his daughter how much he loves her.

"I loved dancing with my dad," said Jasmine. I would do it again in a heartbeat."
