Deputies: 4 in custody after shooting at teen's home in north Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Two men and two women were taken into custody after shots were fired at a home in north Harris County, deputies said.

The shooting happened at a home in the 2300 block of Spring Dusk near Spring Fork Drive Wednesday morning.

Three people were in the house at the time. Deputies said the suspects were in the backyard when they shot at the back of the house.

"It's crazy. I've never been through nothing like this," said Aisha Williams, who was talking to his two brothers in the living room when he heard about five gunshots. "We started ducking and we were like what's going on so we went outside. A neighbor said he'd seen somebody at our back door and start shooting."

Investigators said the shooter had an ax to grind with someone who lived in house, but ended up shooting at an unintended target. The room they shot into is where the grandmother stays and fortunately she wasn't home. No one was hit.

The other neighbor who heard the gunshots looked out his window, saw them jump into the getaway car and called the vehicle description into dispatch. Three minutes later a unit spotted the car and pulled them over in the 26000 block of Cypresswood near Aldine Westfield.

"The quick-thinking neighbor calling our dispatch, the contract deputy being in his subdivision. This is just a wake-up call for us just how dangerous this job is out here for law enforcement officers," Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said.

A deputy later arrested Carolyn White, Jasmine Castillo, JaMichael Williams and Jolin Valien.

They are all facing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges. Investigators said the .45-caliber gun used in the shooting was recovered in their vehicle.
