Man steals wallet at teacher supply store

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police are asking for the public's help in catching the man who they say stole a woman's wallet from a store office in Sugar Land.  

The theft was reported Aug. 8 at Crystal Children and Teacher Supply on Town Center Boulevard.

The victim, who works at the store, said her wallet was inside a purse under a desk in an unlocked office.  She said she left the purse unattended for an hour.  When she came back, it was gone.

Police said a man was caught on surveillance going through drawers in a storage area and going into the office.  The woman's cash, credit cards and driver's license were stolen.  The credit cards were later used at stores at in Katy and Richmond areas.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call Sugar Land Police or Crime Stoppers.
