In the video, released by organizers of the "Face of Leonardo: Images of a Genius" exhibition, you can see the boy walking toward the painting "Flowers." He has a drink in his hand. He then trips and tries to catch himself on the painting. When he reached out from his fall, his fist went through the canvas.

According to Focus Taiwan news, the museum is not asking the boy's family to pay for the restoration costs. Instead, any damages will be covered by insurance.

TST Art of Discovery posted a statement about the incident on its Facebook page along with the photo of the painting.

"All 55 paintings in the venue are authentic pieces and they are very rare and precious. Once these works are damaged, they are permanently damaged...we hope that everyone can protect these precious artworks with us."
