Giant panda gives birth to two cubs at National Zoo
WASHINGTON, D.C. – All eyes are on the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington D.C. after the birth of two giant panda cubs
The pandas were born Saturday. There's nothing giant yet about the cubs, who underwent their first exam Sunday. They fit very easily in a human hand.
The first panda was born just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The second arrived a few hours later just after 10 p.m.
Veterinarians won't know the gender of either cub for a few weeks.
