Two hurt after helicopter crash in Grimes County

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas – A helicopter crashed Saturday in Grimes County, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Officials said it happened on County Road 128 Carlos, Texas and two men were on board.

One of the men suffered a broken leg and was taken to a hospital by LifeFlight. The second man was taken to a hospital by an ambulance and his condition is unknown.

The Grimes County Sheriff's Office said the helicopter was being used to film a reality show on hog hunting.

KPRC 2 was told the aircraft suffered substantial damage. Authorities said the aircraft was an R-44 helicopter.
