Beggar punches window at Starbucks, falls through and injures 2 women

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man begging for cigarettes and money became frustrated, punched a glass window at a Starbucks, fell through and injured two women Wednesday night, according to deputies.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a man who appeared to beunder the influence of alcohol or drugs, was seen acting strangely at a shopping center around 9:15 p.m. on Farm Market 1960 and Highway 290. He walked into a Chipotle asking for donations from customers before he moved over to the Starbucks next door.  

Deputies said after he was turned down a few times, he became aggravated and punched the front glass window of the Starbucks, hitting it so hard that he fell through. There was a table at that window where two women were sitting and all the glass came raining down, severely cutting both of them. One of the women nearly lost her finger, according to officers.  

Both victims and the man were taken to the hospital and are listed in stable condition. 

The man possibly faces criminal mischief charges.
