Man found shot to death in street

HOUSTON – A man was found lying in the street shot to death in southwest Houston, according to police.

The Houston Police Department responded to a call Monday morning about shots being fired in the 15500 block of Ridgerock and Still Drive.

When officers arrived, they found Gary Moorehead lying in the roadway. Moorehead, 41, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said there were no witnesses to the shooting, so police will be reviewing recordings from cameras at a neighbor's house.

Moorehead's burned vehicle was found in the 6400 block of the South Sam Houston Parkway.
