GALVESTON, Texas – Galveston city officials have decided to end the paid parking system in the downtown area. Downtown has now been designated a two-hour parking zone.
The PayByPhone system was a bit tricky for some, and is no longer in effect. There is no longer an hourly rate for parking.
Now, visitors may remain in one spot for two hours.
The two-hour parking applies seven days a week, 365 days a year.
