LEAGUE CITY, Texas – The city of Houston will begin repairing the main water supply line to League City on Monday, League City officials announced.
Authorities said that League City is implementing Stage 2 of its drought contingency plan.

KPRC 2 is told that League City residents and businesses will have limited irrigation during the construction. It could take about a week for the construction to be completed.
League City released a statement requesting the following water restrictions:
- Limited irrigation for residents from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Even-numbered street addresses on Mondays and Thursdays; Odd-numbered street addresses on Tuesdays and Fridays.
- Limited irrigation for non-residential users between the hours of 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Mondays and Thursdays for users in ZONE 1; Mondays and Thursdays for users in ZONE 2, and Tuesdays and Fridays for users in ZONE #3.
- Non-essential and prohibited uses of water during this time include:
- Washing down of sidewalks, walkways, driveways, parking lots, tennis courts, or other hard surfaced areas;
- Washing down buildings or structures for purposes other than immediate fire protection;
- Use of water for dust control;
- Flushing of gutters or permitting water to run or accumulate in any gutter or street;
- Failure to repair a controllable leak(s) within a reasonable period after having been given notice directing the repair of such leak(s);
- Irrigation of landscaped areas, including parks, athletic fields, and golf courses, except otherwise provided under this plan;
- Washing any motor vehicle, motorbike, 4-wheeler, boat, trailer, airplane or other vehicle other than prescribed times and days;
- Filling or refilling or adding to any indoor or outdoor swimming pool, wading pool, Jacuzzi/Hot-Tub type pool or waterslides;
- Filling or refilling or adding to any fountain or pond for aesthetic or scenic purposes, except where necessary to support aquatic life;
- Except as otherwise specifically authorized herein, use of water from fire hydrants for construction purposes or any other purposes other than firefighting.
