Man shot, killed inside car in Walmart parking lot

HOUSTON – Police are investigating a shooting at a Walmart parking lot in southwest Houston that left one man dead and another injured.

Officers said three people, two men and a woman, got into an argument Sunday inside a white Volvo outside the store along Kirkwood near Westheimer Road.

The argument escalated to a shooting inside the vehicle, leaving the two men shot, one of them fatally, according to police.

The men were taken to a nearby hospital.

HPD recovered shell casings and a gun in the parking lot. They are unsure about what led to the incident.

The woman who was inside the car was arrested. She was not injured.
