16 companies join effort to host Super Bowl in Houston

HOUSTON – The Houston Super Bowl Host Committee announced the names of 16 companies that will help plan for the 2017 Super Bowl.

The founding sponsors are: Accenture, Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Bud Light/Silver Eagle Distributors, Camden Property Trust, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Energy XXI, Halliburton, Hess Corp., the Houston Texans, Memorial Hermann, Noble Energy Inc., NRG Energy, Shell Oil Co., Sysco Corp. and Texas Medical Center.

The sponsors will offer support and expertise to the committee in getting the city ready to host Super Bowl LI.

In addition, the committee will invest $4 million in the community to emphasize education, health, and beautification of the area.

Super Bowl LI will be played Feb. 5, 2017 at NRG Stadium.
