Pearland PD seeks man who robbed Subway restaurant

PEARLAND, TexasThe Pearland Police Department is looking for a man who robbed a Subway sandwich shop around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said a man made a purchase at the restaurant at 2802 Business Center Drive. But when the cashier opened the register to get chance, the man allegedly threatened to harm the employee. Authorities said he grabbed money from the register and left the scene.

The robber is described by police as a black man, 35 to 40 years old, between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 11 inches tall and has a medium build. Officials said the man wore a red cap and a red T-shirt that said "Stay War Ready." Pearland police said he fled in what appeared to be a maroon and tan Ford truck that he parked at a nearby business.
