Officials move Free Press Summer Fest amid flooding concerns

HOUSTON – The 2015 Free Press Summer Festival has been moved out of its traditional venue of Eleanor Tinsley Park, officials announced Friday.

The festival will be relocated to NRG Park in the Yellow Lot 1.

"We come from the school of thought that 'the show must go on,'" Free Press Summer Fest co-founder Omar Afra said.

"We're looking forward to coming together as we do every June for a great festival." "Moving forward with the show underlines the perseverance that we as Houstonians have and the dedication we have to our community," said co-founder Jagi Katial.
