Woman says Life Time Fitness masseur crossed the line

SUGAR LAND, Texas – A relaxing massage after a stressful day is something a lot of women look forward to.

But for a woman named Jacqueline, her trip to the spa at a Life Time Fitness in Sugar Land left her feeling violated and angry.

"I remember my eyes being wide open and staring at the floor, hoping that his hands went to a different area soon," she said.

Jacuqline said after the masseur adjusted her underwear, he had her flip over onto her back and asked if he could massage her thigh.

"He got higher and higher and I could feel his hand on the side of my underwear," she said.

In an instant, she said the man crossed the line.

"I said no and immediately took his hand shoved it off my body," she said. "His reaction was, 'Sorry, sorry.' And then he asked, 'Do you want to continue with the massage?'"

In addition to filing a complaint with the manager of the gym, Jacqueline also went to Sugar Land police

Jason Thunstrom, a spokesperson for Life Time Fitness, told KPRC 2, "As a company committed to delivering nothing short of safe, fun family-oriented experiences, we obviously found these allegations to be alarming. We are currently conducting an internal investigation on the matter, as well as collaborating with the authorities in their investigation."

Thunstrom said the masseur is no longer serving customers, but would not elaborate.

So far, no criminal charges have been filed in the case.

"Women deserve to be safe," Jacqueline said. "They don't deserve to be subjected to that kind of environment in that kind of situation."
