Teenager, 14, shot outside Main Event Entertainment in Stafford

STAFFORD, Texas – Officers are trying to figure out what led up to a 14-year-old getting shot outside Main Event Entertainment in Stafford Saturday.

"We have no witnesses because everyone fled as fast as they could," said Capt. Patrick Herman of the Stafford Police Department.

Dozens of teens scattered when a shot rang out at 12626 Fountain Lake Circle just before 11 p.m. Officers said about 50 teenagers were all in the parking lot when someone pulled out a gun and shot a teenager.

"(Main Event was not) allowing any juveniles inside at the time so all the juveniles congregated in the parking lot," said Herman.

The teenager was taken to the hospital. He underwent surgery and was listed in serious condition Sunday morning.

There is no one in custody for the shooting and officers did not have a description of the shooter.
