Pickup truck slams into Top Gun shooting range in SW Houston

HOUSTON – The Top Gun store off Beverly Hill Street near Richmond Avenue in southwest Houston was targeted by a group of crooks early Friday morning.

Houston police said the group used what is believed to be a stolen truck to ram through the concrete wall.

"It's devastating to get a wakeup call, alarm call because you have a hole in your building," said Top Gun owner Dave Garnder.

The five men were in and out of the store in less than two minutes and didn't steal any weapons because they all were locked up.

"We are thankful they didn't get a thing. As soon as they realized they couldn't get any firearms, they left immediately."

By the time police arrived, the suspects were gone but security camera video and fingerprints left behind will help in the investigation to track down those involved.
