HOUSTON – The man the FBI dubbed the "Biker Bandit" was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison Friday for robbing a bank inside the Houston Galleria Mall at gunpoint.

The FBI said Emiliano Trevino, 25, robbed the BBVA Compass Bank on Oct. 16, 2014. He went into the bank and asked for a withdrawal of $20, $50 and $100 bills. As he was asking for the money, he pulled out a black revolver.

Video surveillance showed Trevino leaving the garage on a silver Yamaha Road Star motorcycle. No one was hurt.

A judge accepted his guilty plea today and sentenced him. His 78-month sentence will be immediately followed by four years of supervised release.

Trevino was also ordered to pay nearly $3,000 in restitution.
