Wind Sculpture IV installed in Hermann Park
No description foundHOUSTON – A new sculpture was installed at Hermann Park Tuesday morning.
Crews installed the piece, created by internationally renowned artist Yinka Shonibare, as part of Hermann Park's ongoing Art in the Park series.
Hermann Park Conservancy partnered with Weingarten Art Group for the project.
Wind Sculpture IV is meant to resemble a billowing bolt of colored fabric, and stands nearly 20 feet high and 11 feet wide.
The sculpture was installed at the former site of Wind Waves, a giant red orb designed by artist Yvonne Domenge that was removed in January of 2015.
Wind Sculpture IV will remain in Hermann Park through February of 2016.
