PD: Walmart employee accused of activating gift cards without paying for them

KATY, Texas – A Walmart employee is accused of activating more than $1,700 worth of gift cards without paying for them, according to Katy police.

Eboni M. Shields, 19, was charged with aggregate theft.

Loss Prevention personnel at the Walmart in Katy caught Shields activating $1,735 worth of cards, police said.

Shields is being is held in the Harris County Jail on a $2,000 bond, according to court records.  Her first court appearance is set for Wednesday.
