A helicopter crashed into a home in Orlando (WKMG)

ORLANDO, Fla. – Fire officials confirmed that one person is dead after a helicopter crashed into a home in Orlando Sunday.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. 2 miles west of the Orlando Executive Airport.

Police said the helicopter, a Robinson R44, crashed into the guest house, which is in the back of the main house. They said no one was inside the guest house at the time of the crash but there were people in the main home.

The identity of the person killed in the crash has not been released.

The Federal Aviation Authority and National Transportation Safety Board are on the scene investigating.
