Man carjacked, leg grazed by bullet at SW Houston apartment complex

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is looking for a group of men who shot and carjacked a man in a Southwest-side apartment complex.

It happened just after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Coral Club Apartments in the 5900 block of Fondren Road.

The victim told police the suspects were driving behind him and followed him into the complex parking lot.

When he got out of his Ford F-150, he says four or five Hispanic men attacked him, snatching the keys from his hands, and then shot him as they drove off in his truck.

The man was hit in his left leg and is expected to survive.  He told detectives he did not know the carjackers.

Investigators say the suspects left behind a gold Toyota Camry that is possibly a stolen vehicle as well.
