Spring ISD superintendent recommends termination of 5 faculty members

SPRING, Texas – A scheduling mix-up could jeopardize graduation for many seniors in the Spring Independent School District.

Dr. Rodney E. Watson, superintendent of the Spring ISD, wants to fire five faculty members connected to that mix-up.

They include Spring ISD's Chief Financial Officer Christine Potter, Thad Gittens, Associate Principal at Wunsche High School, Royal Hammond, a student success specialist at Westfield High School, Special Projects Director Adrian Johnson and Teacher Induction director Delic Loyde.

Watson is expected to formally recommend those terminations during a special board meeting Sunday.

The meeting is at 10 a.m. at the Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center on Ella Boulevard.
