Four in custody after leading HPD officers on chase

HOUSTON – Police say four men are facing aggravated robbery charges after leading officers on a chase Friday.

A source told KPRC 2 that a citizen saw four men armed in ski masks getting out of a vehicle near a Pizza Hut restaurant off of Federal Road in northeast Houston.

The men attempted to rob a convenience store behind the Pizza Hut, according to a source.

For whatever reason, they went back into their vehicle and when officers tried to pull them over, they gave chase.

"Ain't nobody rob anybody," one of the accused robbers said. "That's what I don't understand."

Houston TranStar cameras captured part of the chase, which lasted about 30 minutes.

The four men bailed out of their vehicle at an apartment complex at Gulf Bank Road near Antoine Drive and led police on a foot chase.

One of the accused robbers lost his pants and underwear trying to hop over a fence.
