Child survives near-drowning in Clear Lake area

HOUSTON – A 2-year-old girl is alive after the quick thinking of her great grandmother Friday morning.

Paul Good says his wife was inside the family home off of Penn Hills Lane south of Ellington Field when they noticed the girl was not inside.

"She crawled through a doggie door and jumped into the swimming pool. Then we found her there and brought her back into the kitchen and my wife gave her CPR and brought her back," Good said.

The family called 911. Emergency crews showed up and rushed the little girl to the hospital. We are told she is going to survive.

"Praise the Lord, praise to God she's doing well," Good said.
