Man jumps out of burning apartment in north Houston

HOUSTON – A man is recovering after jumping out of his burning apartment.

The flames broke out in the Salado At CityView Apartments on Greens Road around 8:30 p.m. Saturday and trapped him inside.

Acting fast, the man jumped out of his second-story window.

He was rushed to the hospital in stable condition.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames but three more units suffered fire damage, while four more suffered smoke and water damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
