Man, 20, charged in shooting that left 1 dead, 1 injured in NW Houston

HOUSTON – A 20-year-old has been charged with murder after a shooting that left one person dead and another injured in northwest Houston on Jan. 7. 

According to police, Xavius Devonte Gilmore is charged with shooting and killing Tevin Watkins, 21. 

Police said the shooting happened when two groups of men got into an argument in the 8000 block of Streamside near West Gulf Bank about 2:45 a.m.

A second man was wounded, but he is expected to be OK.
