HOUSTON – An argument between a husband and wife escalated to a stabbing Wednesday morning.
According to the Houston Police Department, the couple started arguing around 1:45 a.m., accusing each other of having an affair.

Investigators said when it started to get physical, the couple's 6-year-old daughter tried to call 9-1-1, but her father grabbed her to prevent her from calling police.
The wife then went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and started threatening her husband, investigators said. They both ended up struggling over the knife, and the husband received numerous cuts.
He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Neither the woman nor child were injured.
