HOUSTON – The final suspect of a group of men who were caught in the nick of time before committing a bank robbery is in custody, according to authorities. Aliaze Mosley was arrested Wednesday.
On April 15, a citizen observed her stolen van being driven on US 59 in line with two other vehicles and called 911 as the vehicles took the Wilson Rd exit off of Beltway 8.

Harris County Sheriff's deputies arrived just as the group was getting ready to rob the Chase Bank in the 9400 block of the N Sam Houston Pkwy E. Officers made contact with the suspects before the bank robbery occurred and stopped the stolen vehicle.
Three suspects exited the stolen van wearing masks and carrying firearms. They fled on foot, but were caught.
The lookout vehicle and switch vehicle were also found and those suspects were taken into custody.
The passengers in the stolen vehicle were charged with evading arrest and the driver was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest.
Further investigation was completed by the Houston Police Department's Northeast and Westside Tactical Units, FBI Bank Robbery Task Force, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office and Harris County Sheriff's Office. The agencies coordinated with the Major Offender's Division of the Harris County DA's office, resulting in the entire group being charged with engaging in organized crime and aggravated robbery. The charge is a first degree felony.
On Wednesday, Mosley was captured by officers with the Houston Police Department during a proactive auto theft sting.
Authorities say the men are suspected in over 20 violent aggravated bank robberies in the Houston area since 2013. The group is comprised of gang members from the Homestead area.
