Fire marshal: Man set fire to store because he was upset with owner

HOUSTON – A man is facing an arson charge for allegedly setting fire to a gas station convenience store because investigators said he was upset at the owner.

Wyatt Busby is charged with arson. The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office said, in the early morning hours of Oct. 15, Busby set a fire at the Ella Quick Stop at the 1800 block of West Mount Houston Road.

Investigators said Busby was caught on video setting the fire. According to the Fire Marshal's Office, Busby confessed to fire investigators that he poured gasoline and set the fire, because he was mad at the store owner.

Busby was arrested Sunday and booked into the Harris County Jail. No bond has been set.
