HOUSTON – A parole hearing was held for one of Houston's most notorious serial killers Thursday.

David Brooks is serving a life term, along with Elmer Wayne Henley, for luring at least 28 young boys to a Pasadena home for serial killer Dean Corll to torture and kill them. The crime spree was discovered in 1973 when Henley shot and killed Dean Corll.

Thirteen-year-old Stanton Dreymala was the final victim. His parents, Elaine and James Dreymala, spoke at Thursday's parole hearing in Angleton, pleading with the parole board to keep Brooks in prison.

"We can't hardly bear to go through this because there's two of them. It's about every year and a half for us," said Elaine Dreymala. "We just want them to stay in prison until their last breath."

A decision is expected to come after the first of the year.
