KATY, Texas – A big fight broke out at Cinco Ranch High School on Friday, and we're told it started from another confrontation that happened at the school Thursday.
Cellphone video shows a group of students punching and shoving each other.
One student didn't want to reveal her name, but says she's friends with a girl who tried to break up the fight. Students say the fight is part of an ongoing feud between two male students who had gotten into a fight the day before.
"The guy hit her twice in the face," she said. "Kicking. They were animals."
The girl stepped in to try and break up the altercation. Students tell Local 2 that's when she was hit twice in her face. The group of boys continued to fight.
The Katy Independent School District sent a letter to parents about the incident saying: "School administrators intervened immediately and restored order within minutes. Four of the students involved in the altercation and two bystanders suffered minor injuries."
Parents say they are happy with the way it was handled. The school has asked students who have posted video of the fight to social media to remove it.
