HOUSTON – A robber pulled a gun and forced an expecting mother to take off her clothes inside her own home Friday morning.
Alejandra Ventura heard a knock at her front door. She closed the door and thought the person went away. Then she said she heard a knock on the backdoor of her home on Bonita St. at Denmark St. in northeast Houston.
"The bad guy, he came over, he knocked on the door," a neighbor said. "She said no. Like two minutes after that, he went and knocked on the back door of the kitchen. She opened the door."
With a gun to her head, the mother, who is two months pregnant, let the man inside her home. Her husband was at work and her child was at school. That left her home alone to fight for herself.
Ventura told Local 2 the man had a very specific demand.
"He (said), give me money," Ventura said. "Give me money. I don't have money."
She said that the thief stole some of her husband's work tools and about $200 in cash. She and her neighbors said they had seen him around their homes recently and feared he was casing her home.
The Houston Police Department confirms it is investigating the case.
