PD: Man accused of striking his wife with sword

HOUSTON – A man is accused of striking his wife with a sword.

Houston police said they responded to a domestic disturbance in the couple's home on Shadyvilla Lane in Spring Branch on Nov. 18. Court documents state Holloway jabbed and struck his common-law wife with a sword. She sustained cuts and bruises in the attack, according to HPD spokesperson Victor Senties.

Holloway also assaulted the couple's 10-month-old son by hitting the baby with his hand, Senties said.

Holloway, 23, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member and injury to a child.

He is being held in the Harris County Jail on a $60,000 bond. He is due in court Thursday.
